Kolesterol HDL ialah kolesterol yang bermanfaat untuk mengangkut timbunan lemak dalam tubuh, dan membersihkan timbunan lemak di dalam pembuluh darah yang menuju hati.

Kolesterol HDL bermanfaat untuk memperlancar pedoman darah ke jantung.

Karena itulah Kolesterol ini disebut dengan Kolesterol baik.


Kolesterol normal ialah kalau kadar kolesterol HDL lebih tinggi dibanding dengan kolesterol LDL, dan Kolesterol dalam batasan normal sangat bermanfaat untuk badan kita.
