UNO (United Nations Organization)
PBB yaitu suatu organisasi Dunia Internasional, yang bertujuan untuk menjalin kerjasama antar bangsa-bangsa di dunia dalam menjaga dan membuat perdamaian dunia.




PBB merupakan pengganti organisasi dunia yang sebelumnya dikenal dengan Liga Bangsa-bangsa.

Sejarah berdirinya PBB

PBB didirikan pada tanggal 24 Oktober 1945, di San Francisco, Amerika Serikat.

Latar belakang didirikannya PBB yaitu untuk mencegah terjadinya konflik yang berkepanjangan ibarat halnya ketika terjadi Perang dunia I pada tahun 1914-1918, dan ketika perang dunia II pada tahun 1939-1945.

Perang dunia yang terjadi menjadikan kerugian dan kehancuran bagi bangsa-bangsa di dunia, oleh alasannya yaitu itulah, untuk membuat perdamaian dan mencegah terjadinya perang dunia yang berikutnya, maka dibentuklah Organisasi PBB.

Piagam Atlantik, awal mula berdirinya PBB
Berawal dari pertemuan Presiden Amerika Franklin Delano Roosevelt dan perdana menteri Inggris Winston Churchill pada tanggal 14 Agustus 1941.

Pertemuan ini diadakan di atas kapal Augusta di samudera Atlantik, dan menghasilkan suatu kesepakatan, yang lalu janji tersebut dikenal dengan nama Piagam Atlantik (Atlantic Charter).

Piagam Atlantik tersebut, berisikan beberapa hal penting, antara lain:
  1. Setiap bangsa tidak dibenarkan melaksanakan ekspansi wilayah
  2. Setiap bangsa mempunyai hak untuk memilih Nasibnya sendiri
  3. Setiap Bangsa mempunyai hak untuk turut serta di dalam perdagangan Internasional
  4. Menciptakan Perdamaian bangsa-bangsa di dunia, semoga setiap bangsa di dunia sanggup hidup dengan aman, tanpa rasa takut dan kemiskinan.

Maklumat PBB (Declaration of United Nations)
Pertemuan selanjutnya, diadakan pada tanggal 01 Januari 1942 di kota Washington, Amerika serikat.
Pertemuan ini dihadiri sebanyak 26 Negara di dunia, dan gotong royong menyepakati Piagam Atlantik tersebut.

Konferensi San Francisco
Kemudian, pada tanggal 25 April 1945 mulai diadakan Konferensi di San Francisco, Amerika Serikat.
Konferensi ini dihadiri sebanyak 50 Negara di dunia, yang risikonya menghasilkan suatu janji bahwa Piagam Atlantik dijadikan Piagam PBB, atau disebut dengan istilah United Nations Charter (UN Charter) pada tanggal 26 Juni 1945.

Akhirnya Pada tanggal 24 Oktober 1945, Piagam Atlantik yang sudah resmi menjadi Piagam PBB (UN Charter), ditanda tangani oleh 50 Negara di dunia, dan Piagam Atlantik tersebut resmi dijadikan sebagai dasar berdirinya PBB.

5 Negara Pelopor berdirinya PBB
Terdapat 5 Negara yang menjadi aktivis berdirinya PBB, yaitu:
  • Amerika serikat.
  • Rusia.
  • Inggris.
  • Perancis.
  • Repulik Rakyat China (RRC).
Hari PBB se-dunia
Sejak ketika itu, setiap tanggal 24 Oktober diperingati sebagai Hari PBB (Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa) se-dunia.


Tujuan didirikannya PBB:
  1. Memelihara perdamaian dan keamanan internasional
  2. Mengembangkan serta memajukan hubungan persahabatan bangsa-bangsa di dunia yang menurut penghargaan atas persamaan hak dan penentuan nasib sendiri
  3. Menciptakan kerjasama internasional dalam menuntaskan permasalahan internasional ekonomi, sosial , budaya dan kemanusiaan, berbagi rasa hormat terhadap Hak-hak kemanusiaan, dan kebebasan yang Azasi.
  4. Sebagai sentra pada setiap aktivitas yang serasi antar bangsa-bangsa di dunia dalam mencapai tujuan bersama.

Dasar-dasar PBB dalam menjalankan Tugasnya:
  1. Semua Negara Anggota mempunyai kedaulatan yang sama
  2. Semua Negara Anggota PBB harus berusaha untuk mematuhi ketentuan yang tercantum didalam Piagam PBB, dengan itikad yang baik.
  3. Semua Negara Anggota PBB harus menuntaskan setiap persengketaan dengan cara damai.
  4. Semua negara anggota PBB harus menahan diri dari setiap tindakan pengancaman, kekerasan, terhadap negara lain.
  5. Semua negara anggota harus membantu PBB dalam setiap tindakan yang diambil sesuai dengan Piagam PBB.
  6. PBB tidak campur tangan terhadap dilema dalam negeri suatu negara.

FAO merupakan organisasi dunia Badan PBB yang bergerak di bidang pangan dan pertanian, bertujuan untuk berbagi sistem pertanian dan meningkatkan standar gizi penduduk di dunia.

ILO merupakan organisasi dunia Badan PBB yang bergerak dibidang Perburuhan.
ILO bertujuan untuk meningkatkan taraf hidup dan menangani masalah perburuhan Internasional.

  • UNICEf (United Nations Children’s Fund)
